Australian’s View on Electricity Price Increases

Early in 2010, Tribal Energies Research surveyed Australians on electricity price increases in Australia.   The results of the survey revealed the following:

• Australians are VERY concerned about electricity price increases.

• The higher their electricity consumption, the greater their concern about any price increases in the future. 

• Australians are willing to use green electricity – such as those sourced from solar energy – to offset electricity price increases.

• Australians are willing to adopt green electricity not only for the price benefits, but also to counter the harmful effects of traditional electricity generation activities to the environment.
